Lederen av en mikrokredittgruppe ønsker oss hjertelig velkommen. (The leader of a micro credit group gives us a warm welcome.)
Denne dama fikk hjelp av KFUK da jenta hennes var sjuk. (This woman got help from the YWCA when her daughter was ill.)
Joyce didi forklarer hvordan systemet med lån og sparing fungerer for det enkelte medlem. (Joyce didi is explaining how the system with loan and saving works for the members.)
Nysgjerrige barn, som alltid. Den forrerste gutten hoppa opp og ned.. (Curious children as always. The boy in the front was jumping up and down..)
På kvelden var det en høytidelig velkomstseremoni der vi blei plassert på stoler bak dette bordet. Alle måtte holde en takketale, og jeg holdt min på bangla! (In the evening they helt a reception for us where we had to sit on chairs behind this table. All of us had to give a thank-you-speech, and I held mine in Bangla!)
Mange flinke barn underholdt oss. (Many clever children entertained us.)Joyce didi og Brigitte dro dagen etter, og jeg blei aleine som "bideshi" i Chandpur KFUK. (Joyce didi and Brigitte went the next day, and I was alone in Chandpur YWCA as a "bideshi".)

Jeg har glemt navnet på jenta til venstre, men det er hennes hus de står utafor. De to andre er Mili og Dipa. (I have forgotten the name of the girl to the left, but it is her house. The two others are Mili and Dipa.)

Her bor Khuki (se lengre ned) sammen med lillesøstra Mili, storebror Steven, mamma Shimoli og pappa Bijoy. Huset ligger rett bak KFUK-bygget. (Khuki (see further down) lives here with her little sister Mili, big brother Steven, mother Shimoli and father Bijoy. The house is right behind the YWCA building.)

Vi leiker ute etter møte i ungdomsgruppa. Dipa, Jumi og Shuma. (We are playing games outside after a meeting in the youth group. Dipa, Jumi and Shuma.)

Chandpur er en havneby. (Chandpur is a port.)
